From one sauna in Ålesund to a national platform
Flake started with a need – a simple, automated solution for booking and running a sauna. The idea came in 2021, when Svai Sauna in Ålesund was looking for a system that could handle both bookings and operations more efficiently. Christoffer and Steffen, newly graduated computer engineers from NTNU Ålesund, took on the challenge. The result was a tailor-made solution that quickly caught the interest of other sauna founders.
In 2023 Flake was founded as a company – built from scratch with one goal: to make everyday life easier for sauna owners. Today Flake is more than just a booking platform. It is a complete solution for self-service saunas, and we look forward to shaping the future of sauna experiences in Norway and beyond.
